Hurricane Dorian Relief (Theron Smith & Family)
Donation protected
Hello My Friends,
On Sunday, September 1st, 2019 Hurricane Dorian ripped through the Bahamas leaving a trail of destruction in its path. Like many others, our home was not spared. We lost everything including furniture, photos, keepsakes, clothing, toys for our children, and the memories of the home we lived in for ten years. Now we are trying to rebuild our life from the ground up. We are asking for your help as we go through this difficult time, rebuilding our life and the only home our children have ever known.
Currently, we are visiting friends in the United States as well as my alma mater Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Thank you to everyone that has pledged their support to help our family and encouraged us to start this campaign. We truly appreciate every amount given as no amount is too small. I will try to post updates as often as possible but as the internet and electricity are limited on the island it may take me a while to reply once I return home. The attached video was done when we returned after the storm to look for a missing wedding ring that we left behind in the rush to evacuate.
May God richly reward your sacrifice, and continually bless you as you are a blessing to us!
For Transparency - You will see the named beneficiary on the campaign as "William McCartney" - he is my brother in Ft. Lauderdale Florida and I am using his USD account to facilitate the transactions because gofundme does not allow me to use my home bank in the Bahamas because of the currency difference. Thanks guys!
