Hurricane Maria Relief - Help Dominica!
On September 18th, 2017, the small island in the Caribbean, Dominica was totally destroyed by a direct hit from hurricane Maria - a category 5 hurricane.
It's been reported that 95% of the islands roof are missing and communication virtually impossible. Roads are flooded, blocked with fallen trees and landslides - Total Destruction. The death toll is rising while search and rescue people dig through villages that are nearly impossible to access.
Right now, the people are in urgent need of:
Food, canned goods, water
Medical Supplies
Clothing
Pampers and toiletries
Flashlights and batteries
Pretty much anything and everything
We have made contact with a few friends in Guadeloupe, which is an island 96 km (60 miles) away. They are willing to assist in gathering these supplies to transport safely via boats back to Dominica. This is a 2hour trip so we are hoping we can make several trips - biweekly.
Your generous donation will be focused on a few families that we've sponsored for now. Based on your donation, we are hoping to support more families but that's a start for now. We need your help in getting this done quickly.
