Hurley family needs a vehicle!

Buying a car is never easy. It's less so when it's an unexpected necessity. We had our beloved Bluey Tooth (a Toyota Sequoia affectionately named by our five children) for a wonderful four years when a herd of wandering deer decided to attempt suicide by SUV. It was such a good truck -- never had any real mechanical problems -- but at 268,000 miles and two deer collisions later, we must say goodbye to a well-loved truck. 

Unfortunately, what the family has dubbed "The Hurley Curse" has befallen us once again. Ever heard the expression "bad things come in threes?" Not for the Hurleys! They come heaped on all at once like a football dogpile. And while it hurts our pride to once again have to ask for help, we're not beyond it.

That's where you come in. :) We need a truck or minivan that has seating for 7 or 8 and is affordable (affordable being less than a bank wants to finance without a huge down payment). We don't have a huge down payment and live paycheck to paycheck. In fact, due to several recent (an unexpected) events, we're now having trouble even paying monthly bills. (I told you about that curse, right?) 

We have five children (four that still live at home) to provide for, drive to doctor's appointments (two of them are special needs), get ourselves to doctor's appointments (specialists out of town), grocery shopping, everyday errands, school, and the like. We don't have the luxury of public transportation in our tiny little town, and although Billy (my amazing hubby) works crazy hours trying his best to provide, large families are expensive. 

If you're feeling benevolent, if you pray and feel led, or if you just want to do a kind deed for a family in need who are law-abiding, good, hard-working people, please consider donating some money to help us put a down payment on a vehicle. It's hard to do much in small towns without transportation. And while we're not asking for the entire cost of a vehicle, if you feel especially generous, we won't turn it down. ; ) Likewise, if you have a vehicle with 3rd-row seating in good shape just collecting pollen in your yard or something, we can put it to good use for you! :D
