Hunter's New Left Knee
Donation protected
Hello friends! Last year we found out that Hunter was diagnosed with full thickness cartilage wear grade 4 on his medial femoral condyle, lateral femoral condyle and lateral tibial plateau in both knees. This means he has no cartlidge in the knee and his bones rub together when he walks. This is very painful for him. Last June we made the journey to California for a successful total knee replacement on his right side. Now we're back for his left side. I have included an updated estimate from Access Specialty Animal Hosptial dated 2/5/24. The successful replacement on his right side has helped him tremendously but now his left leg is starting to fail. When we are able to complete both knee replacements he will have a better qualify of life.
We are hopeful to have the surgery scheduled by this summer but we cannot schedule until we reach certain funding thresholds. We are still paying off the first surgery because we undershot a few cost including a $1000 CT scan before we even leave Kansas. I want to thank everyone who has been involved in our journey and I will continue to update the GoFund me. For a more indept details please check out our Instagram @starthevizsla
