My name is Mick Cheshire, and I am raising money on behalf of my nephew / godson, Hunter. At the request of Shewin and Robyn, all funds will go towards suicide prevention in Hunters name.
Teen suicide prevention and mental health wellness are the goals of this campaign, and all funds that we are raising on Hunter's behalf will be given to the organization Lewis-Palmer School District #38 - Hunter's school district.
District #38 will use the funds for staff development and student engagment in research based suicide prevention and pro-social wellness programs. Sources of Strength has been identified by D38 as the best resource available to their two high schools, Lewis-Palmer High School and Palmer Ridge High School. Therefore, the funds will be used to support the implementation of Sources of Strength at the two high schools in District #38.
The organization, Lewis-Palmer School District #38 will be receiving the funds, and will create an account at each of its high schools for those schools to initiate and sustain its implementation of Sources of Strength. The district accountant, Marcy Studtman, is authorized to receive the funds on behalf of their organization and will distribute the monies into the proper account at each high school.
