Hunter Nielsen heart surgery

Hunter James Nielsen was born June 11th 2007, shortly after his birth is was discovered he had Aortic Stenosis,  a congenital heart defect.  We did not know this before his birth. He was life flighted from Allen Hospital in Waterloo Iowa to Rochester Minnesota Mayo Hospital. We met with many doctors and nurses to discuss his care, quickly realizing how very serious it was, Hunter was hooked up to so many machines with IVs and a breathing cannula, the scariest things a parent can see on their newborn baby. At 3 days old he underwent a Valvoplasty to open his Aortic valve. It was a temporary fix until he was bigger. Then at a year old he had his first open heart surgery,  a Ross procedure.  That only lasted a year and yet again at 2 he received a Porcine aortic valve.  

It's been 11 years now, and we are facing a much more serious surgery on December 4th, with both valves needing replacement, and they must remove some scar tissue and muscle from the heart that has developed over the years. We are scared and stressed for our son and for our other children. Because the expenses and bills will keep piling while we stay with him during his recovery. 
At this time his Dad (Adam) cannot work because  of the risk of Hunter get sick with Covid-19,  the whole family is quarantined for his safety.  We are very concerned that if we give it to him his recovery would be longer, dangerous, and possibly life threatening. 

I therefore decided to start this GoFundMe, for those that find it in their hearts to help us during this time. To ease our fears and worries, and to help our family through this difficult time.
