Hunter is back in Memphis. He’s had a tough couple weeks. After battling fevers 3-4 times a day, he was admitted back into St Jude’s. Hunter was diagnosed with BK infection. It’s taking its toll on his kidneys. And he’s been put on a medication to help treat it, that will be given every 2 weeks. Hunter also took a fall a few weeks ago. After going to drs in Mayfield, Josh and Destiny were assured his head was ok. Once he got to St Jude’s the knot on the back of his head began to grow. And was no longer a knot. Today they did a scan, which showed he had a skull fracture. They took him to another hospital in order to pull the fluid off. Once they began this, they came and told the family it was in fact infection. They rushed our sweet boy into surgery to remove the infection. It was around his brain. Now he will have a drain in his little head for quite some time. As you can imagine, this will make it very hard on his mom and dad. Josh just recently went back to work... but now they are being told they will be there for a long time. Because of the drain. This little family has been through so much, any help you can give is greatly appreciated. And if you can’t give, that’s okay... please pray!
On August 19, 2017 one year old Hunter Allen Burgie was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. (ALL) He was taken to Memphis, to St. Jude to get the best treament possible. While insurance will help with the cost of treatment, there will still be lots of expenses. The doctors have told them they will be there at least 3 months. And after that they will have to continue to make trips for check ups, and chemo. As if this isn't hard enough, his mommy has been waiting to deliver his baby sister. And she will make her appearance any day... and as excited as they are to meet her.. they're having a hard time figuring out how to be in 2 places at once.. Please help if you can. And if not, please pray, and share to get the word out!
