My Dad, Hung, has lived a tough life.
However, life is fleeting.
In May 2017 my Dad was diagnosed with liver cancer from a CT scan. At the age of 56… My Dad tried to keep it a secret from me and it was only through my Mom that I discovered his condition. My Dad played it off as non-life threatening and always insisted that he was feeling 'healthy 'and well.
He kept positive.
I kept positive.
Seeing him being strong kept me going... Until we finally met a liver specialist and surgeon in August…. It was finally confirmed how severe the cancer had metastasized. As much as we kept positive together, unfortunately, the CT scan showed more than 75% of his liver was being covered by “dark shadows/tumor/black spots” (Bless the surgeon trying to downplay the ‘Cancer’ word). It was tough now knowing what was left. Surgery was not an option. The only option we had was to stay positive.
He has started chemotherapy and is living day by day, trying his best to stay positive. We are both hoping for longer days together. We both know how little time we have left together.
