For thousands of households facing tough choices to make ends meet, cutting back on food is often the solution. But it comes at a steep price. For children, hunger impacts the ability to learn; for adults, the ability to work; for seniors, the ability to manage illness and maintain health.

Community Storehouse is committed to providing daily nutritional assistance to our neighbors in need, helping stabilize their lives by providing health and hope and putting them on a path to self-sufficiency.

We are investing in solutions to hunger. We provide short-term services and solutions for non-disabled adults and long-term benefits for disabled and elderly individuals, including an on-site grocery store, free home delivery services, and collaborations with local schools and other agencies.

We're so fortunate that the job market has turned around, offering many opportunities, but retirees and the young are still at risk. Our food programs focus on our community's children, the working poor, disabled, elderly, and otherwise disadvantaged people living in Martinsville and Henry County, Virginia.
