Hundred Acre Academy HomeSchool HUB

In September of this year, I left my fourteen year career in the public schools and started a learning pod. It was a giant leap of faith that God has taken and blessed and multiplied beyond our wildest dreams.

Today, that little learning pod has grown exponentially and we have absolutely outgrown our current space.

We are looking to expand next year, and our vision is what we’re calling a “home school hub”.  This will be a place where homeschooled families can bring their children to participate in learning pods, classroom spaces to act as a home-base for community instructors offering extracurricular activities, an event space that can be utilized by our community in supporting our kids, and room for our kids to RUN. Room to explore, imagine, dream, and be kids. Room to grow. We want to come alongside families in affirming and supporting the unequivocal and absolute wise stewardship role parents have been given over their kids.

We have been searching for a location for this dream and yesterday…we found something.

We found an old school building with an absolutely remarkable history. Built in 1858,  it was sold to the county for educational purposes for $35 and served the community for over 80 years until the original structure was replaced with the building currently standing today. The current school building was built in 1938, and the original bell from the 1858 building is still on the property.  In the early 1900s, it held the title for the longest running public school in Oregon.

The property has been neglected for many years and is in need of many repairs and significant restorative work. We are passionate about the incredible history of this piece of Oregon heritage and passionate about the children we hope will someday learn inside these walls.

We want to save this school, so that it can continue serving Oregon kids for another two hundred years ❤️

This feels like a big and insurmountable task, but we don’t believe that there is anything our God cannot do.

I also believe that there is someone out there with the financial means to step into the story of this old school and these kids who shares a passion for our vision and our mission. I don’t know who that person is…but maybe you do ❤️

We will walk forward with open hands and full hearts, knowing our God has gone before us and He is clearing the way.

We invite you to join us in this incredible story God is writing. Will you help us save this school and grow something truly remarkable for our kids?
