Humbly Trying to Stay Afloat..
Donation protected
Hi friends,
I never imagined I’d be in a position where I’d have to make one of these, but life has been hitting hard lately — and despite doing everything I can to stay afloat, I’m drowning.
Today, I received a 3-day notice from my landlord, and unless I come up with rent immediately, we’re at risk of losing our home. I’ve been doing everything I can to get by — selling what I can, applying to every job under the sun, and finding creative ways to make ends meet. But some recent events completely out of my control have made it nearly impossible to stay ahead, and now I’ve hit a point where I need to ask for help.
If you know me personally, I ask that you please keep this to yourself and avoid any judgment. I have a 10-year-old daughter who already knows more than I wish she did about what’s going on, and the last thing I want is for her to feel embarrassed or burdened by our situation. This isn’t easy for me to share, and I hope those reading this can understand the vulnerability behind it.
That said — it’s not about pride anymore. It’s about keeping a roof over our heads and creating enough stability for us to move forward. If it was just me, I wouldn’t care if I was stuck living in my car. But it is not only about me right now..
Anything you’re able to give — even just a share — would mean the world. And if you happen to know of any job leads, I’m always open and ready to work.
Thank you for reading this, for caring, and for supporting people in their hardest moments. I won’t forget it.
With love and gratitude,
Erin
Monthly rent is $1725 (and an $50 late fee) and All funds raised will go directly toward rent , and I’m happy to provide confirmation or a receipt of payment for anyone who would like reassurance.
*If the goal is met any overage will be paid toward future months rent.
* I will update with a photo of a receipt from landlord.
