Humble ISD Gymnastics Requip

Humble ISD recently lost nearly all the equipment that services the gymnastics teams in HISD when Harvey flooded the Houston area. Currently, the teams are completely self-funded and receive no money from the district. I am worried that the school district will not appropriate any funds for replacement equipment, effectively shutting down our programs.

I am asking HISD gymnastics alumni to help me raise an additional $2000 to purchase good quality used mats and other equipment. At this point, I am not collecting money, but rather pledges, which I will gather for the next 2 weeks. At that point, I would like to present the current coach with either a check, or equipment, depending on whichever makes more s...ense.

I, and others in this group, are still part of the gymnastics community and may know gym owners and suppliers that can help us turn $2000 into quite a bit of equipment. Here is a preliminary list of the equipment that needs to be replaced:

New spring floor strip- ours was approximately 60ftX8ft
Mats (we had several 8" and 4", folding mats, panel mats, loads of custom cut foam for make shift bottom mats)
Whale mat
Several extra rolls of foam that were rolled up and stored
1 extra roll of carpet bonded foam stored
Low BB
Mushroom
Euro style mini tramp (for showing off at pep rallies)
PH
SR tower
V
V runway (it was stored on top of our V)
PB (2 sets)
HB
UB
High BB
2 sets of Space Savers

Obviously we can't replace everything, but here's to trying to make a dent. Please send me a message if you would like to pledge any amount.

Also, as a side note, it'd be nice to make it a surprise, although I guess I can't really expect all of yall to keep quiet, lol.
