Human Actions - Empowering Andean Communities
Donation protected
Human Actions is a non-profit organization founded in 2016 based in Cusco, Peru. In the Andean worldview, 'ayni' embodies the principle of reciprocity, emphasizing the importance of mutual exchange and the virtue of giving back. Inspired by this tenet, our non-profit, Human Actions, represents our commitment to giving back to communities through service and support.
We believe that education is the most sustainable way to contribute to society. Therefore, Human Actions uses education to empower vulnerable communities while honoring and upholding their autonomy and dignity.
We've established a Center for Community Education, where community members and professional educators work together to integrate conventional knowledge with their unique cultural identities and ancestral wisdom.
Our non-profit is made up of specialized groups, each consisting of professionals from different fields, all collaborating to serve communities. A group of mental health experts, including psychologists and general practitioners, conduct workshops aimed at enhancing both mental and physical health. A team of legal advisors, composed of lawyers, assists individuals and communities in navigating the legal intricacies of social causes, including human rights and environmental protection. Our collective of educators, which includes indigenous knowledge holders and experts in fields like permaculture, cooking, arts, music, and textiles, works to enhance people's skills and strengthen their ties to cultural traditions.
