Last Month , my husband, Hugo Alvarez was diagnosed with Cancer in his stomach and this news took us completely off guard. My name is Juliana , I am 36 years old, Hugo is 44 years old, and we have our lovely daughter, Luciana she is 5 years old.
I met Hugo twenty-one years ago , and we have been married for 9 years. He is the love of my life.
In search of better opportunities, we moved to the United States thirteen years ago. I have a degree in education, and I worked as an early childhood teacher in a Christian School in Miami, Florida.
We lived happily in Florida, and we worked hard to provide a better future for our daughter until 3 years ago, when my husband was deported.
For financial reasons, I decided to stay with my daughter at USA, because it is hard to find a job after your are 30 years old in Colombia; moreover, if you don't have a job history in the country.
As an immigrant, we know about sacrifice and we are hardworking people, I have been paying lawyers to advocate for my husband's case with no success, and every year, I have been visiting my husband in Colombia during summer or Christmas; However, It is always extremely hard for us when we have to return to USA, because Luiciana, our daughter, adores her father and doesn't understand our practical and needed arrangements.
Last Month, my husband started to have stomach issues. Finally after throwing up constantly he entered an emergency room , where the doctors found he has a tumor in his stomach and it is cancerous in Colombia.
Forced by the circunstances, I am asking for your kind help. He needs to start chemotherapy and radiation.

El mes pasado mi esposo Hugo Alvarez fue diagnosticado con un cáncer de estomago, nunca imagine que algun dia iba a recibir este tipo de noticia.
Mi nombre es Juliana tengo 36 años, Hugo solo tiene 44 años, y nuestra hermosa hija tiene 5 años. Hugo y yo nos conocemos desde hace 21 años y tenemos 9 años de casados. Hace 3 años vivíamos felices trabajando honradamente y criando nuestra bebé de 2 años en la Florida, pero desafortunamente Hugo fue deportado a nuestro país natal Colombia. Yo no pude irme con él porque vivíamos de 2 sueldos, al llegar a Colombia es difícil conseguir trabajo fácilmente después de los 30 años y es más difícil sin historial de trabajo allá. Así que por razones económicas debí permanecer en Estados Unidos trabajando y luchando por un mejor provenir. Adicionalmente, estuvimos consultando el caso de Hugo con diferentes abogados sin tener éxito, por lo cual cada año en verano o en Navidad nos reuniamos los 3 en Colombia, con el dolor de pensar en tener que separarnos de nuevo.
El mes pasado Hugo empezó a quejarse de molestias estomacales, y debido a un vomito constante después de ingresar a emergencias, y realizarle todo tipo de exámenes el diagnostico fue el que mencione al comienzo.
Hugo tiene que someterse a quimio y radio, como saben estos gastos son costosos, y forzada por las circumstancias pedimos su apoyo, cualquier cantidad será muy apreciada por nosotros.

Hugo tiene que someterse a quimio y radio, como saben estos gastos son costosos, y forzada por las circumstancias pedimos su apoyo, cualquier cantidad será muy apreciada por nosotros.
