Hey everyone, my name is Charlie and I'm an 8 yr Army veteran and a 2019 graduate of The Culinary Institute of America. Food has always been a source of comfort for me, and in 2015 when I decided to get out of the Army it became something that helped me make it through that transition. It became a passion, something I wanted to be involved in for the rest of my life. So I made the switch, I got out and pursued a culinary degree at The CIA campus in Hyde Park, NY. My goal has always been to open a Detroit pizzeria. The style of pizza I grew up eating but could never quite find outside of Michigan has always been my favorite. I want to share that with where I live now, Poughkeepsie, NY.
In September 2019, Hudson & Packard was formed, and I began running a Monday night pizza popup here in Poughkeepsie called "Motown Monday's." It has been a hit! Week after week we sell out of pizza in under 2 hours, and each week it grows and grows. Hudson & Packard is looking to open a permanent spot in Poughkeepsie, and we need your help!
We have a spot picked out and are working with investors, Hudson & Packard needs to raise $20,000 to help secure an equipment loan, as well as having some working capital! With your help we can offset what we need from loans and investors and bring Detroit pizza permanently to Poughkeepsie!
