WELP... SEPTEMBER STARTS TOMORROW...
We sure had no idea, back in March, that we'd *still be here,* locked down, with theaters, nightclubs, casts & crew all stranded on the shores of this virus. 6 months is a very long time for an entire industry to be closed down... And it's not over yet...
On the plus side... !
GOOD NEWS! Despite some setbacks in early Summer, thanks to your support, and the hard work of so many people, Hubba Hubba Revue and DNA Lounge have launched our *brand new* webcast show, "Hubba Hubba Revue LIVE!
This isn't just ring light and a camera phone! Devon from DNA, and our own Johnny Electro, have transformed our beloved home base in a legitimate, 3-camera TV studio, and we are broadcasting to you *live* from the stage, under the professional lighting of our L.D., Jeremy ("The Shocker!") and in front of our beautiful new set created by our designer, Lisa Hyde.
Our first show, on Aug. 22nd, was a *huge* success, and we are excited to bring you our second one --our 14TH ANNIVERSARY show!! on Sept. 12th (with special guest, Banbury Cross from London, U.K., and featuring the great Juicy D. Light on the hosting-team!)
With your continued support, Hubba can keep going, keep producing new episodes of our exciting, new LIVE show, and we'll survive this plague together.

We're working on our 3rd online/webcast fundraiser show! And we're applying for GoFunMe's #SmallBusinessRelief fund!
We're still hanging on, thank to your support, but we've got a long way to go --a lot longer than we ever expected!
This started as a one-lost-show fundraiser... We're now staring down the loss of at least 3, maybe 4 or more, big monthly shows, 14 or more weekly shows, and 3, 4 or more of our appearances at Bootie Mash-Up. That's rough.
But with your help, we can do it! We can bring San Francisco's longest-running show back to the stage when this is all over!

But the lockdowns keep getting longer (we're okay with that! We'd like to mitigate this crisis as much as possible!) and more of Hubba shows just keep getting cancellled.
We sure understand why, but we could sure use your help.

We may be taking this campaign down soon, but if you can, please share/tweet it, or donate if you're able. The fundraising goal doesn't mean a whole lot anymore, since what started as a "please help us recover from the loss of one show," is grown and grown to trying to stay in existence with the loss of as much as 20 shows or more (maybe a lot more!)
Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

UPDATE: Oh boy...
It's gotten worse. Instead of one big monthly, show, it's now two, and 6 of our weekly, Monday shows, and our shows at the mash-up party, Bootie.
The city of San Francisco has closed all of our events for 7 weeks, and we don't know if that's the end of it --or even if our beloved venue, DNA Lounge (celebrating it's 35th year this year!) will survive over a month and half with no revenue, and plenty of expenses.
This is dire, friends. We know it's necessary, and we highly support doing everything possible to control the spread of this virus, but it's a terrible, punishing time to be in the business of live entertainment.

Hello Friends,
It's was with a heavy heart that we announced the cancellation of our big show for March, "Space Station: 2020!"
Hubba Hubba Revue did not wish to contribute to the spread of the COVID-19 virus, and, despite the resulting extreme financial hardship, we saw no other reasonable choice: We had to put our community first.
More shows may be cancelled soon. We don't know how long it will be before we can come back, or if we will see anything like our regular turn-outs once we do.
Hopefully it won't be long, but we can't even promote upcoming events right now, to try to sell tickets to future shows, because, right now, we don't know for certain what events will go one, and which will be cancelled.
Just the expenses from this month's cancelled show --flyers, advertising, costumes, props-- are significant, and that's before we even get to the revenue that won't be coming in.
Not "Hooray." Not "Hooray" at all...
For 13 1/2 years, we've run on a shoestring budget, off a "kitchen table," but always with the intent on keeping diverse, alternative, community-oriented events and performances alive in an already challenging, corporate-dominated business environment.
There's no safety net in this business, no floor beneath us. We make a bargain with the world every minute we continue to exist: that we do this thing because we love it, we think it's important, and we hope the world feels the same way.
Anything you can do to help at this time would be greatly appreciated.
