My mothers name is Remedios Cuatianquiz Flores.  My mother was  55. She was mother of 3  and married. She was diagnose with breast cancer on September 18, 2019 at Metropolitan hospital were she was put in chemotherapy. She  was having cat-scans and MRI done  to check if the cancer had spread. The doctors  had said that her cancer wasn’t far yet. She continued with chemotherapy until one night she felt very strong headaches and went to the ER in metropolitan  and was diagnosed with another tumor on one side of her head, and was switched over to Bellevue hospital for a surgery to remove the tumor on November of 2019. My mother was recovering from her surgery. Two months later she kept up with chemotherapy , by August 2020 she went for a check up to another hospital, NYU. When she went for this check-up to this hospital, the doctors said my mother was growing  with small spots of tumors once again..... The doctors decided to do a Gamma knife surgery to remove the small tumors while still battling her breast cancer. We waited two more months to get back with chemotherapy. My mother continued with her therapy at metropolitan at 1 month of recovery.  After that she had multiple appointments for checkups for different parts of her body at NYU Langone health ,metropolitan & kings county Hospital center. We asked for the results & they said everything was okay and that there should not be any concerns , everything should be fine. The main concern was just the tumors  that were in  her breast. Her head was cancer free. Two months passed by. She went for her chemo at  metropolitan Hospital. Doctors mentioned they were  going to be a change the medicine of her chemo therapy because it wasn’t working. She got that medicine for 2 weeks but then the second time for her therapy the doctor decided to suddenly change her medicine AGAIN! The doctor suggested it would be much effective for her. The treatment was once every two weeks in between the week. Then the doctors suggested they were going to give her an injection , and they said it was going to be part of her treatment. That week our mom was supposed to get her injection early in the morning but they had us to wait for a while because the doctor wanted to talk to us. They came in and said there was going to be a change in her chemo AGAIN. We were confused and said there was already a change in her medicine last week ! We asked what was going on, why was there a change,  it was too soon to say that the new medicine for chemotherapy wasn’t going to work. Then the doctors made a decision  to start a  new medicine . Few weeks past and my mother started to feel unwell. My mother had chills, fever and could not breath correctly. I took her to the emergency and they made new test for mother. Hours of waiting for test results the doctors told me my mother tumors were back and were spreading  rapidly and told us my mother had weeks or months to live which turned into terminal cancer. My mom  then hospitalized for months because she could not breath on her own anymore.  After 1 month in the hospital they said  my mom could be home with us but she would have a nurse assist us and i would have a social worker help us and direct us to paperwork.  Little I knew my mom was weeks away from leaving us and my mother was getting really worse. On January 3, 2021 my mom was  having trouble breathing  and not able to see straight. Nurses rushed to my house to check my mother and said she had days but it was unpredictable. Doses of Medicine were being given till January 7, 2021 my mother could not resist anymore and about 10:00 pm my  mother stopped breathing and left us..............
