The HUB, Helping Urban Bicyclists, is a bike ministry of the Episcopal Church of St. John’s, Stockton CA. Over the past two years, we have given over 300 bikes to the underserved to assist in their transportation needs.
Many use their new-found independence for reliable transportation to and from works, to meet their needs to attend mandated meetings and reach necessary resources.
Our particular needs are a variety of bike tubes for replacement, brake and derailleur cables, lubes, tires and assorted parts as needed.
I am the deacon of the parish connected with this ministry and my birthday wish is to see this bike resource continue well beyond the time I am able to do the work.
