Young family in need

Monday May 11th my son Lucian started running a fever. I was at work when his momma
text me and said he was feeling warm. She started Motrin and I stayed at work for the rest of the day. That evening his fever spiked to 104.8. Kellsey got in the car and drove 300 yards to dollar general to get a new thermometer just in case maybe the one we had was defective. I got Lucian in his car seat to prepare to take him to the hospital. I grabbed a bottle and walked into the driveway. I took about 3 steps and saw kellsey slowing, blinker on, starting to pull in the drive when suddenly she was hit head on by a car which seemed to be going way too fast in the 35 mph zone in front of my house. Her car was thrown backward 100 feet and was mangled. I immediately put Lucian down and ran screaming expecting the absolute worst. I saw my whole future with my loving family just crumble in an instant. To my amazement, Kellsey was conscious and confused and immediately started apologizing to me begging forgiveness and telling me to get Lucian. She  couldn’t move her legs and started shaking violently and sobbing. I held her until the first responders arrived. I went out and watched the rescue team get her out onto a stretcher and asked if they would clear a path so I could take my son with a 104.8 fever to the hospital behind the ambulance. At the hospital I learned Kellsey broke both fibula and tibia. Her ankle was completely shattered. She was transferred first from Fairview to Berkshire medical in Pittsfield then onto Baystate in Springfield where she awaited emergency surgery which didn’t happen until mid morning the next day. She is still at the hospital waiting patiently to come home. Lucian was sent home with me after being given Motrin, a chest X-ray, and a Covid19 test. We’re still waiting results and are terrified. We’ve been living on one income and that’s when I can find the work. Kellsey will be incapacitated for what looks like a couple of months. I am already behind on my bills by 2 going on 3 months and I’m terrified of what’s coming. My son needs me and Kellsey needs me and I am prepared to do everything I possibly can to keep us treading water. So I ask humbly please anyone who could help me I need it... we need it... I don’t ask for anything ever. I’ve always worked hard and taken care of myself since I was a young man but I don’t know what else to do. Between living expenses, rent, water, diapers, car insurance, now medical bills, it’s all going to hit hard and I just want my family to be ok.
