Friends and family,

As many of you know, I lived on Maui when I was younger, and my experiences on the island dramatically changed the course of my life. Over the last 22 years, Lahaina has truly been my 2nd home, and it was absolutely devastated by the wildfires last week. The town is completely gone. Nothing is left.

I still have close friends living full-time in Lahaina who are going through some major trauma at the moment. In particular, my friends Eldon/Sally are scrambling to figure out how to move forward and they have a 6-year old daughter (Thora) and a teenage son (Tennyson) to support. The Dorsett family has hosted me in Maui countless times since I moved to Colorado and I feel a strong need to give back.

I have never done a fundraiser before, but I am hoping that my personal network can donate just a little to help keep my friends afloat while they determine next steps in their lives.
