Patricia's breast cancer battle

My mom, Patricia, is 54 years young and resides in Ellsworth Michigan.
She is a proud first time Grandma to a baby girl about to celebrate her 1st birthday. Patricia is a Navy veteran who until recently was working as a nurse at a long term care facility taking care of others. Most people who know my mom know that she is a kind, loving "mama bear" who enjoys helping others. She has opened her home to those in need and has always given what she could to assist others. Now she needs your help.
On October 15th 2018 my mom was diagnosed with stage 3 invasive ductal carcinoma, 3B with lymph node involvement. Due to the advanced state of her breast cancer the doctors have told us that she needs to start treatment immediately. Doctors have recommended a treatment plan of 1 year chemotherapy along with surgery to remove all tissue affected.
Unfortunately because of all the medical appointments not allowing her to maintain her work hours, on October 23rd she went to work for the last time at the job she loves. She no longer has medical insurance because she was forced to leave her job and is not currently eligible for Medicaid because she "made too much money" in the last 30 days. She was supposed to start her chemotherapy today, November 2nd, but because her insurance coverage ended at the end of October her treatment has been "delayed". Although we have found a medical insurance solution, it will not begin until December 1st 2018. My mom needs life saving treatment as soon as possible!
We are asking for donations to help cover the cost of Patricia's new health insurance that has a very high monthly premium and deductible. Also, some of the diagnostic tests to include a 3D mammogram along with full body scans were "approved" by her previous insurance but the costs are not fully being covered. Patricia has already incurred some medical debt and her treatment hasn't even begun! Although she hopes to return to work helping others again, right now she is unable to earn an income and is relying on the generosity of family and friends to get her through this difficult time.
I pray that my daughter will grow up making memories with her amazing, strong, beautiful and very proud grandmother. Any and every bit of help towards Patricia's breast cancer battle will be forever appreciated. Thank you!
