As Doug has said, the most painful part for him so far has been the pain his cancer diagnosis has caused his friends and family. Those aren't just his words in the face of this immeasurable journey; that's the Doug we've always known.
Doug is going to be taking an extended leave from work and his living expenses will only go up. While we know money can be a gift with very little thought or meaning, we also know that money is something he and his family should not have to worry about. It's one of the few things in this journey that we actually have control over.
