NSEF Educational Project

Hello, we are NSEF – Nenita Sa Engineering Foundation, your London based institution for the Bissau Guinean community education, engagement and development worldwide.

This NSEF campaign is to engage with people like you in aid of improving the quality of public school infrastructures and programs in the West African Republic of Guinea-Bissau.

We are focusing on education due to pressing needs in the sector in Guinea-Bissau and also where there is great potential for development and innovation.

Today in Guinea-Bissau, according to the State Report on the National Education System (RESEN), fewer than one child in two completes his primary education; the exercise of the right to education is constrained by significant inequalities between rural and urban children, rich and poor, girls and boys.


We believe that together we can take the steps towards the starting and continue of rehabilitation and construction of public schools in Guinea-Bissau.

WHAT DO WE WANT TO ACHIEVE WITH THIS CAMPAIGN?

First, in partnership with the local Government, we aim to support transforming a minimum of 10 public schools in 3 years. 

The images we are sharing here show what we are thinking as well as making happen with your support for better conditions for learning in Guinea-Bissau.




HOW WILL WE SPEND THE MONEY YOU DONATE?

We plan to rehabilitate and develop new educational facilities in Guinea-Bissau aiming at encouraging young people and the local community actions on sustainable development education issues.

With our environmentally-sensitive design, the new buildings will be an expression of the NSEF's mission to understand and protect the natural world.

Building programme: classrooms, teacher rooms, offices, reception area, meeting rooms, indoor and outdoor activity areas.

The number of students: 500/1000.

Sustainability features: maximum locally sourced materials, passive design strategies, zero net energy design, renewables energy systems, and water conservation measures. 



100% of your donation will be spent directly on the building and project needs. No cash is ever handed over directly to anyone. All of your donations will be accounted for and we will show you exactly what your donation was used for and the impact it had on education in Guinea-Bissau.

We will be posting frequent updates on our website, where you can see the change your support is making to the education of young people.
