Fighting Breast Cancer

In effort to help my dear friend on this journey, I have decided with her approval to create this GOFUNDME account.  All proceeds will go to Fayette Piedmont Cancer Institute & Fayette Piedmont Hospital.

ShaConda moved to Atlanta in 2005 from Toledo, Ohio. She is the eldest of 4, the “FREE SPIRITED” child. She is known to be the life of the party and bring joy wherever she goes.  She truely enjoy spending time with family and friends. The Lord has blessed her with honorary kids, many nieces and nephews.

On June 7, 2017, My friend, ShaConda received a call confirming the hard lump located in her right breast was CANCEROUS. She was blessed to learn this news in the presents of her loving InfoMart family. Within hours after learning of her diagnosis, her mother, sister, and brother-in-law all from Ohio was headed to Georgia to support her in her time of need. She has always been a very independent woman, however in this event it requires a much stronger support system.

My dear friend is scheduled to have a combination of 6 chemotherapy and antibody treatments (every three weeks), the antibody will continue for the remainder of the 18 weeks, following surgery which should take place sometime in November 2017. The final stage would be 4 or 5 weeks of radiation. I have learned that the chemo itself is between $3000-$7000 each time given. I'm also aware that she will need medicines to help avoid infections since the chemo is going to break down her immune system. As her friend, I can honestly say that this FREE SPIRITED woman has had the strength to continue to give 100% while at work during this temporary obstacle in her life.
