A VIETNAMESE CHILD NEED YOUR HELP!
Dear all who are reading this article, we really need your help, just with your little help can also create opportunities for my daughter to regain her life.
Our daughter name is Tran Thi Quynh Chi (Tran), 5 years old. She is very intelligent, alert and adorable. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with leukemia (blood cancer) in Octorber 2015 at 3 age. The exact name of the disease: Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) B cell - L2 – high risk group. After 2 years of chemotherapy in Vietnam, due to the poor medical condition, the disease relapsed early although it is still in treatment. In addition, she was infected with hepatitis C (HCV) caused by the transmission of unsafe blood products there.
Patients with ALL and isolated central nervous system (CNS) relapse during chemotherapy have poor prognonis if only conventional chemotherapy given, which was offered by the doctors in VietNam. Allogeneic hematopoieitc stem cell transplantation (HSCT) in the only cure for it. Fortunately, Taiwanese doctors had admitted her to treat and planned a HSCT in January 2018. She arrived to Taiwan on 16th/Sep.
Currenly, she has been receiving the chemotherapy to reach the re-mission state again to ready for a planned HSCT next month. This stage cost is about 1.000.000 TWN (~35.000 USD). The cost for a HSCT is about 2.000.000 TWN (~70.000 USD). Finnally, we still need 1.000.000 TWN (~35.000USD) more for post-transplant treatment. The total is 4.000.000 TWN (~140.000 USD).
We already don’t have any insurance in Taiwan so that cost is really a terrible pressure for us. We only have about 2.000.000 TWN (~70.000 USD) with doing our best right now, we still need another 2,000,000 Twn to pay for the transplant and subsequent treatment. The immediate threat is that we do not have the funds to pay for the HSCT, and we have to go out Taiwan and choose the death for her.
So, I wrote this article to fund the remaining $ 2,000,000 ($ 70,000) in funding for my child's chance of getting a bone marrow transplant and winning the disease. From now until the HSCT is no longer long, I hope the people, who read this article, donate to our daughter a little. Just with 2000 people, each donating 1000 TWN (35 USD) to her is enough to have her fund for bone marrow transplant to overcome the disease and comes back to life.
