Broken Ribs, " waiting to exhale "

A TUMBLING TIME OUT FOR THIS TOUR GUIDE AND THEATER USHER.  ** While riding my bicycle Saturday July 8, I was hit by a car. The driver has a court date and a police given tkt that reads "failure to yield" ( meaning he just did not look before making his right turn on red ) and I have 3 broken ribs ( #'s 8, 9, 10 ), and a recovery that is projected to be 6-8 weeks in duration. * I work as a double decker tour guide in the city of Chicago,  summer is our peak season, and my days are 12 hours on top of the 'big red bus'. I also work as an usher for Chicago's biggest grouping of Broadway  theaters and summer is also a time when all  'lights are on'. As an example, I was scheduled to work just under 70 hours this week ( 5 full days on the bus and 2 days ( 4 shows ) at the theater. I am 'sidelined' now indefinately because of this accident, and neither company has a disability piece for this type of emergency. * I am grateful, given what happened, that it is not worse, but having said that, I am still faced with the question of how I am going to pay my bills, with nothing coming in. The money requested here is what would have been made based on my working during this -our- peak season months. This also has implications going forward, as the tour guide position is a seasonal job ( March- Nov ) but summer is our -hot- time, and the time that is capitolized on for hours and making every day count. Sadly, for me, summer is effectively over. For now, the "mic ( microphone ) has been dropped ".And though I  have been pursuing employment that would offer traditional benefits, these 2 jobs came my way in perfect timing after a 10 year period as my moms caregiver during her AZ illness ( though I worked all the while during that time too ) . Both are wonderful positions that play to my strengths,  but how quickly things can change.  A sunny day bike ride, and now I 'wait to exhale"...meaning , this money piece has me worried. But God is good, He provides, and just as He watches over a broken sparrow, He too is watching over me. ** Thank you.
