Help Grandma fight lung cancer!

Over the course of the last year our family has experienced two tremendous blessings (babies Gianna & Hendrix), who happen to be the light of my grandmas life. Unfortunately we have also experienced some life changing news, as we were devastated to find out, our dearest grandma (Helen Lee) was diagnosed with stage 3b lung cancer in November of 2014. It was an unexpected shock & blow to our family, as we never imagined our sweet grandma enduring so much pain & such a giant cross to bare. She never smoked or drank & she has lived what many would call a very pure life so we were utterly shocked by this outcome. Sadly we have been down this road before, with our other grandma Bonnie (Nanny as we called her), who passed away from lung cancer in 2004-may she R.I.P. It has been a far too familiar nightmare for our family but we are not giving up on Gram! She is still here with us after one failed treatment, 2 weeks in the hospital with post obstructive pneumonia & sepsis & 2 completed rounds of radiation. She has been through so much yet her faith & beautiful soul remain unshaken. She is currently waiting to start her next treatment. We love her more than words can describe & she, more than anything in the world, wants to continue living so she can watch her great grandchildren grow as she has always dreamt of doing! Her other dream is to go home (New Zealand) & see her siblings one last time-we can only hope & pray. We know God only gives his hardest battles to his strongest warriors & although she may be little she is fierce! After 9 long months of fighting for her life, grandma Helen is still determined to win her battle & beat this "stupid cancer" as she says. Her faith in God & love for family & friends keeps her focused & positive. Unfortunately, the medical bills are piling, between all of the constant visits to the Dr.'s/ER/second opinions/treatment/copays/travel etc. we are in need of help. Our main focus is getting grandma well so she can enjoy the rest of her life! Even on her hardest days she still worries about everything & everyone she did before her diagnosis, this is just the type of woman she is, If you know her then you know! She is a very special person & we love her as many of you do too. If you are able to help/donate we are greatly appreciative & thankful! Your prayers are largely welcomed & we thank you from the bottom of our hearts! God bless!
