Marys cancer treatment. Scroll down for her story!

A gofundme page is a last resort for us. Before I ask for this kind of help I want to put my moms story out there for everyone to understand why we are doing this...  April of 2018 I rushed my mom to the ER, we found out she had a blood infection due to cirrhosis of her liver. Shes had hepititis c since she was in her 20s but was never cured of it. Because of that it has taken a huge toll on her health.  That following November, University hospital found a 4.8cm tumor inside her liver. To qualify for a transplant the tumor could not exceed 5cm. Due to the damage from the cirrhosis her body could not withstand chemo or radiation. Chemoembolization (which is where they shoot tiny chemo beads into the tumor to try and shrink it) was the only treatment she could receive, the first attempt was in February of 2019 and it shrunk 80% of it! Shorty after that she was put on the transplant list and was told she’d receive a liver by the holidays that same year. We were so excited! The second attempt was in May, it grew back to its original size but the doctors insisted on trying it a third time.... November 2019 we were told she was taken off the list because it grew to both sides of her liver... we were all devastated,  she was so close to getting a new liver ....we went for a second opinion at Cleveland clinic, after one cat scan and blood work they called and told us there was nothing they could do for her.... I spent weeks researching other facilities and treatments. I came across a place called New Hope medical center in Phoenix Arizona. They do infusions and none invasive treatments that kill cancer cells but won’t hurt other organs in her body. I had all her info sent to them, after patiently waiting for a response they called and told us that their therapies would have a huge positive affect on her and could save her life. The only issue was that because their treatments are trials and aren’t FDA approved yet, we would have to come up with $35,000 cash. This woman has gone through so much in life, she’s beginning to lose hope. Her family and grandkids are what keep her going... i know having cancer, nothing is ever guaranteed but if this treatment has any chance of giving her another 20 years there isn’t  anything I wouldn’t do to at least try to get it.... every dollar helps, and even if you can’t donate,  please just send prayers and share, share and share this again to help us reach our goal.
