Mary Bratton: Mission Trip to Malawi Africa 2020

I've been given an amazing opportunity in June/July 2020 to go a mission trip to Malawi Africa. My personal friends, the Chinchen family, are missionaries in Lilongwe, Malawi and are taking a group of students to go serve. One of the main projects we will be doing is Project Juembo. We have collected bags of school supplies, t-shirts, shoes, and other items to take to 2-3 different village schools. This is a really big deal to the people here and hundreds gather to watch the distribution of the bags and giving out of t-shirts. Over the next couple days after this, we will put on a sports camp for the kids at African Bible College. I will be teaching the little girls some cheers and dances. There is also soccer, basketball, and dodgeball for the kids as well. Next we will be going to the Crisis Nursery. This is a place for children to be taken care of until the mothers are able. Here I will have the great opportunity to feed and comfort orphaned babies. Our final mission is at Girls Shine Academy. I will have the chance to do a bible study, crafts, and dance with the girls who go to this school. God has called me and opened up such an amazing opportunity for me to serve. He has already opened many doors for me to be able to attend this trip and I know he will do the same regarding the funding I must provide.
