Scott Hanson is from the Belle Plaine area.  Scott is a busy 6 year old who attends kindergarten.   Scott loves Angry Birds,  Transformers,  and  his family too.  Scott has had a lot of problems with vomiting, headaches, back pain, leg pain, and just not feeling well.  On October 24, 2014 Scott was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation Type 1. This is were the back of the brain ( the cerebellum ) comes out of the hole in the back of the head.  Scott will be having surgery in the near future for this.  Scott has had many appointments and many more to come.  Medical expenses and other expenses are starting to overwhelm this family! Any and all help is greatly appreciated!  You can follow Scott's progress on Facebook at Supporting Scooter Doo.   Scott's Parents are Ryan and Jessica ( Malz ) Hanson.  Scott's brother is Joey.  Thank you for your help!

UPDATE: Scott has had his a Decompression and C1 Laminectomy on Thursday February 5, 2015. His surgery was done at the University Of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital. Scott had a WONDERFUL Neurosurgeon and team working with him. He has had to miss 2 weeks of school. He will be able to return on Monday February 23, 2015. He is only able to attend half days for his first week.  Starting Monday March 2, 2015 He will be able to return to school for full days.  He does have restrictions. No strenuous activities and no lifting over 10 pounds for the next 3 months. He has neck stretches he has to do. This is to help him regain moment in his neck and to help keep him from getting stiff. He is doing really good with his movement other than looking up. That will take a little while to get back. We then go back for another MRI.
Scott's medical bills go back to September 2014.
We are getting slammed pretty hard with this expense.  Ryan's insurance that has Scott covered is not the best plan out there. But it is insurance.  Ryan has been dealing with on again off again employment throughout the winter. I am a stay at home mom. Other then Scott's illness. Joey, our oldest son as Moderate to Severe Autism And a laundry list of other mental and developmental delays.
We are desperately in need of help! Big or small.  I know with enough friends we can reach our goal. So please please help. If you have donated or you are unable to donate please share this gofundme link. Help us to take care of Scott's needs! We appreciate everything that has been donated so far, the help we have gotten,  and the kind words. We just need a little more help yet.
