We are once again raising money for summer mission opportunites for Joshua, Samantha, and Caleb.
Caleb will be moving into the HUB this summer. He will get the opportunity to attend Camp Intersect.
Camp Intersect is a camp that gives them opportunities to have fun with large games, free-time, small groups, worship, Bible teaching, and mission experiences.
Samantha will once again get to attend Rush Week. She had a great time last year in Panama City. She came back with more passion for the Lord than she left with. She really blossomed on the evangilism team, and even spoke to people. That is a huge thing for my introverted daughter.
Rush Week is our mission trip/camp hybrid. This is for students entering 7th grade - recent Grads. Students at Rush Week are grouped and partnered with a local church in the city we are in to serve them and their people for that church. Students and leaders do this for half of each day and then spend time in worship, Bible teaching, games, and fun activities the rest of the day.
Josh will once again get to attend Rush Week. Last year he was part of the SWAT team. They were the group who used their musical talents to minister to others. Josh's goal is to become a worship leader, so this was a great growth experience for him. In addition to Rush Week he will also have the opportunity to attend Rushmore this year.
Rushmore is our newest addition to The HUB Student Mission Strategy as this year will be our second year taking this trip. Rushmore gives students that have gone to Rush Week an opportunity to take the area of missions they feel gifted in (service, evangelism, worship arts, etc) and take it to the next level. The trip is for current 10th-12th grade students (since this trip is over Spring Break & not the summer). We do this by working in a very different area than our Rush Week location. Students are challenged to share their faith with those they are walking by each second of every day. Plus, we partner with church planters which gives our students a different view of what "church" may look like for others.
