Dave's Transplant Recovery Fund

Donation protected
On 11/3/2014, David Hintzke, Sr., at age 66, was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome with Bone Marrow Fibrosis ("MDS") which is a condition where cells in the bone marrow are damaged and do not produce new blood cells.  There is currently no cure for MDS and the only option to prolong Dave's life is to have a Bone Marrow Transplant within 6 months. As of right now Dave is receiving weekly blood transfusions and the best option for a transplant appears to be in Cleveland Clinic Ohio which would require a minimum of 3-4 months stay and frequent return visits after successful completion of the tranplant.

As most of you know, Dave and Barb are extremely hard workers who give more then they receive.  Dave has a talent of making all those around him laugh.  He is always positive and sees the glass as half full.  Dave and Barb have been married for 44 years and they have 3 children and 6 grandchildren.  Dave and Barb would never ask for help and would only put the burden on their shoulders.  For this reason, their children have created this site to help with the large financial burden that lies around them.  The cost of insurance co-pays and premiums, medicine, housing in Ohio, several trips to/from Ohio, meals and maintaining their home here in South Florida is astronomical.

We thank each and every one of you for taking the time to read this and considering helping Dave and Barb.  We will continue to keep you updated on Dave's condition.  Please know that your support is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
