Mike Mers -Bridge The Gap

We are looking to bridge the contract gap through the end of the school year.

As many of you may or may not know, Mike and his family have found themselves in a tough situation. With the holiday season quickly approaching, Mike is in the precarious spot of being out of work. Mike is too good of a teacher and has too much to offer to not to find another job. That being said, the likelihood of that happening prior to April/May is very low. That is where you can help. What we are hoping to do is raise only the amount of money Mike would have made the rest of this school year had he been able to finish out his contract. We want to allow Mike the ability to focus on starting the next phase of his career without the constant worry of how to pay the rent each month, how to keep the lights on, how to put food on the table, etc. Based on the outpouring of response Mike’s situation has generated, we are confident there many people who want to help. Here is how:

$20,000.00 is the amount of money we are looking to raise. While any amount you can give is greatly appreciated, gifts in increments of $25 (pays for a meal), $50 (pays for gas for 2 weeks), $100 (pays the utilities for the month), $250 (pays for groceries for 2 weeks), $500 (pays for groceries for a month or 75% of the monthly rent) would be preferred, but again any amount is appreciated.
