<div><strong>Who are we? We’re glad you asked. </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Happy Paws Happy Hearts exists to create positive connections between socially isolated Australians and rescue animals. We aim to solve two significant challenges:
</div>
<div>1) 1.1 million Australians experiencing social isolation or exclusion.
</div>
<div>2) Hundreds of thousands of rescue animals waiting for adoption across Australia.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Each week we connect with 470+ people overcoming mental health challenges and individuals living with disabilities across seven locations in QLD, NSW, NT and TAS. Demonstrated benefits for participants include increased confidence, skills development, improved quality of life and genuine vocational pathways. Our courses include animal care, handling and training.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Rather than follow the traditional approach of training “pets” or service animals to be with isolated individuals, Happy Paws Happy Hearts does the reverse and brings participants to rescue shelters to work with the hundreds of thousands of animals on their recovery journey. This drives a sense of purpose and genuine social connection among the participants and directly benefits animal rescue organisations and the broader community.

<div>With your help we can support more paws and hearts on their “return to life” journey.
