<div>Brenda es una persona como tú que estas leyendo esto y como yo que te cuento un poco de su historia… su vida era normal: trabajaba, salía con amigos, compartía con su familia, hacía ejercicio y disfrutaba de su día a día.

<div>Hasta que de la nada todo cambió.
</div>
<div>Imagínate estar en el trabajo y sentir que una de tus piernas se entumece. Probablemente pensarías que te sentaste mal o que es algo pasajero. Eso mismo pensó ella. Pero volvió a pasar y otra vez y varias más y lo que parecía algo sin importancia se convirtió en una señal de alerta y despues de múltiples visitas médicas y mucha incertidumbre, en julio de 2024 Brenda recibió un diagnóstico que nadie espera: Esclerosis Lateral Amiotrófica y que es esto? es una enfermedad neurodegenerativa progresiva que afecta a las motoneuronas del cerebro y la médula espinal. Provoca debilidad muscular, atrofia, parálisis y dificultades para hablar, tragar e incluso respirar.

<div>Desde entonces, su vida no ha vuelto a ser la misma lo que antes era sencillo, hoy requiere un enorme esfuerzo, paciencia y una fortaleza impresionante.
</div>
<div>A pesar de todo, Brenda sigue luchando cada día con una actitud admirable. 
</div>
<div>Sin embargo, la enfermedad ha avanzado muy rápido y al dia de hoy a menos de dos años de recibir el diagnostico ha perdido la movilidad de su cuerpo y también la capacidad de hablar. 
</div>
<div>Existe un dispositivo de comunicación asistida que puede hacer una diferencia enorme en su vida. Este equipo le permitiría comunicarse con mayor facilidad, expresarse, conectarse con el mundo y recuperar una parte fundamental de su autonomía.

<div>Es un equipo especializado y costoso, pero con la ayuda de todos podemos lograrlo.

<div>Brenda is a person just like you or me.  She had a normal life: she worked, spent time with friends, shared moments with her family, exercised and she enjoyed her everyday life.
</div>
<div>Until, out of nowhere, everything changed.
</div>
<div>Imagine being at work and suddenly feeling one of your legs go numb. You’d probably think you just sat the wrong way or that it’s nothing serious. That’s exactly what she thought.  But it happened again and again and many more times.

<div>What seemed like something minor became a warning sign. After multiple medical visits and a lot of uncertainty, in July 2024, Brenda received a diagnosis no one ever expects: Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).
</div>
<div>ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects the motor neurons in the brain and spinal cord. It causes muscle weakness, atrophy, paralysis, and difficulties with speaking, swallowing, and even breathing.
</div>
<div>Since then, her life has never been the same. What used to be simple now requires immense effort, patience, and incredible strength.
</div>
<div>Despite everything, Brenda continues to fight every single day with an inspiring attitude.
</div>
<div>However, the disease has progressed very quickly. Today, less than two years after her diagnosis, she has lost mobility and the ability to speak.
</div>
<div>There is an assistive communication device that could make a huge difference in her life. This equipment would allow her to communicate more easily, express herself, reconnect with the world, and regain a fundamental part of her independence.
</div>
<div>It is specialized and expensive, but with everyone’s help, we can make it possible.
</div>
<div>Today, we are asking for your support to raise $500,000 MXN to purchase this device and help cover her general expenses.
