<div>Ayer, en cuestión de segundos, <strong>un fuerte terremoto sacudió la realidad de nuestra comunidad judía en Cali, Colombia. </strong>

<div>Mientras rezábamos, tuvimos que evacuar nuestra sinagoga. Sacamos la Torá, salimos al pasto y allí, juntos, terminamos nuestra tefilá. Ese momento resume quiénes somos: <strong>cuando las circunstancias nos sacuden, permanecemos unidos y con la fe intacta.</strong>

<div>Hoy más de 15 familias de nuestra comunidad han tenido que evacuar sus hogares y necesitan alojamiento temporal, alimentación, ropa y asistencia básica mientras las autoridades determinan cuándo podrán regresar. Nuestros adultos mayores y otros comunitarios afectados necesitan acompañamiento y apoyo emocional. Y nuestra sede comunitaria sufrió daños que debemos atender para volver a abrir nuestras puertas y recuperar plenamente nuestra vida comunitaria.

<div><strong>Esta campaña es organizada directamente por Hebraika Cali para apoyar a nuestros miembros y atender las necesidades de nuestra propia comunidad derivadas de esta emergencia</strong>.

<div><strong>Los recursos recaudados serán destinados, de acuerdo con las necesidades más urgentes</strong>, alojamiento temporal, alimentación, ropa y asistencia básica para las familias afectadas; acompañamiento y apoyo para adultos mayores y otros miembros de la comunidad; y recuperación de nuestra sede comunitaria, incluyendo remoción de escombros, reparaciones de las áreas afectadas como cocina, salón, sinagoga, baños y fachada; además trabajos necesarios para recuperar nuestros espacios y reactivar nuestra vida comunitaria en general.

<div><strong>Pero esta historia no es solamente sobre lo que ocurrió ayer. Es sobre lo que podemos hacer hoy.</strong>

<div>El pueblo judío nos ha enseñado que ninguna comunidad está sola. Que donde haya un hermano que necesite una mano, hay otros dispuestos a extenderla. Que la solidaridad no conoce fronteras y que <strong>ayudar significa mucho más que entregar recursos: significa devolver tranquilidad, dignidad y esperanza</strong>.

<div>Yesterday, in a matter of seconds, <strong>a powerful earthquake shook the reality of our Jewish community in Cali</strong>, Colombia.
</div>

<div>We were praying when we were forced to evacuate our synagogue. We carried the Torah outside, gathered on the grass, and together finished our prayers. That moment captured who we are: <strong>even when the ground beneath us shakes, we remain together, our faith intact</strong>.
</div>

</div>
<div>Today, more than 15 families from our community have been evacuated from their homes and urgently need temporary housing, food, clothing, and basic assistance while authorities determine when they can safely return. Our elderly members and others affected by the earthquake need emotional support and care. At the same time, our community center and synagogue suffered significant damage that must be repaired so we can fully restore Jewish and community life in Cali.

<div><strong>This campaign is organized directly by Hebraika Cali to respond to the immediate needs of our members and help our community recover from this emergency.</strong>

<div>Funds will be used according to the most urgent needs, including temporary housing, food, clothing and basic assistance for affected families; support for elderly and other community members; debris removal; and the repair and recovery of our synagogue and community facilities, including the kitchen, community hall, bathrooms, façade and other damaged areas.

<div><strong>But this story is not only about what happened yesterday. It is about what we can do today</strong>.

<div>The Jewish people have taught us that no community stands alone. Wherever one of our brothers or sisters needs a hand, there are others ready to extend theirs. <strong>Our solidarity knows no borders.</strong> Helping today means more than providing financial support—it means restoring stability, dignity and hope.
