The Peter & Alayna Story

Hi my name is Will Henderson, and I've known Peter Bowling for many years. He has tirelessly worked in amazing, entreprenurial ways to help "unadoptable" orphans in China for over 14 years. To date he is personally paying tuition, clothing and food costs so that nearly 200 of these precious little ones can attend school; finding some measure of hope that death and disease, mostly HIV/AIDS, has brutally taken away from them. As a person who has lived overseas for more than 15 years, I have never seen anyone so effective to a cause, let alone doing it with very little help from outside donors. I wouldn't try to use the term hero. Peter is just a normal guy who genuinely loves to help orphans. To him it's not heroic, it's just normal life. To me, it's extraordinary!
June 1, 2008 was an extra special day! It was the day Peter met Alayna and had about 20 minutes to decide what to do. What would you do? Most of us would have a long process to sort through even the idea of adoption. Peter woke up that morning a single guy living in China doing great things for a cause, but by the end the day, the cause had become intensely personal. By sundown Peter was a Dad, Alayna had a Father and a new family was born!
Fast forward to the present. Alayna is still totally undocumented. Unadoptable literally means they don't exist. Unadoptable orphans don't even have birth certificates. After 6 years as a family and trying every angle imaginable, Peter has finally been presented a way to get Alayna a Birth Certificate, all the necessary documents and even American citizenship.
They need our help!! After all Peter has done for so many, I feel it's time that we join forces and help make sure that he and Alayna become a permanent family that no one could ever tear apart. He would never ask for money for this, and that is where I come in. I am asking.
