Nathan's China Mission

In January of 2014, the Lord called me to share his love to the nations. After a year of prayer and hard work, I am happy to announce that I am beginning a volunteer youth and urban missionary position through Island Evangelical Community Church in Hong Kong, China.
Island ECC is an English-speaking international church seeking to have an impact on Hong Kong through the life changing message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The purpose of my trip will be to spread the Good News to the growing English-speaking population of one of the world's most populated cities. English may be their second or third language, they may speak with a strange accent, or they may be too scared to communicate in English. I will be there to minister to all who can understand! By doing this I will be actively participating in being the hands and feet of Jesus to the people of China. Hong Kong is a beautiful port city of 7,000,000 people. 50% of the city practices traditional Chinese religion while an additional 20% practice Buddhism. Less than 10% of the city has a knowledge of Jesus.
Because the Lord has given me such a large task, I cannot do it alone. I am looking for your help to see this dream come true. The thing I need most is daily prayer. I ask that you pray for my continued growth these next few months as I prepare for my trip. I ask that you pray for my family as they prepare me to leave. And finally I ask you to pray for the Democratic People's Republic of China and it's territories. Pray that their eyes may be opened to receive the Word. As Philippians 4:6 says, "Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done".
I am looking for your financial help to sponsor my plane flight and living expenses. The cost of the plane is $1,700; this is not including money for food. During my time at Island ECC I will be staying with a kind family from the US who offered to take me in so that I might save on trip costs.
If you feel led to offer financial support you can donate directly from this site. Any amount is enough! As Deuteronomy 16:17 says, "Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God which he has given you."
