Howard Kirby a man down on his luck purchased a second hand couch from a re-store in Michigan. He went home with his used couch and used it for a week. Later on he noticed that the ottoman was uncomfortable for unknown reasons Howard opened it up the cushion part to find $43000.00 in cash!
Instead of keeping quiet about the money he went back to the re-store, tracked down the original owners and returned all of the money to them. Every last dollar and even with the fact that he was down on his luck financially.
