How you can HELP Greyson's Recovery

Our Senior Project manager Mike Ingham and his wife Tara had their first child on August 23, 2018. Greyson was just perfect. Just days after birth he went in for his check up and his Bilirubin was off. (No big deal right? Just get a little extra Vitamin D, pop him into a little tanning bed!) Unfortunately, that was not the case for Greyson.  He was put into the NICU and had a liver biopsy confirming he had what is called Biliary Atresia. He has under gone multiple surgeries and has multiple complications throughout his short life. The doctors tried to perform what is called a Kasai procedure just before he was 3 months old. This  confirmed he would at some point in the very near future need a liver transplant in order to live.  At 6 months old he was put on the transplant list and endured getting  a PICC line and then a Central line for TPN & lipids to help his growth. He continued to be in and out of hospital stays weekly. At 7 months old there was that LIFE SAVING CALL. They took Greyson in at 10 pm right after that call was made to them.  Right away he was prepped and prepared for the morning transplant. Denver had the  blizzard come in and the surgery was canceled. The deceased donors liver was coming in from out of state and all flights were grounded. This was devastating news. He was getting sicker and sicker and his body was shutting down.  Then on his 8 month birthday, a living unknown donor was a match for Greyson. His transplant was performed on May 2, 2019. His color changed within hours of the new liver taking effect. He is recovering in the hospital and will stay there for at least the next month or so. A big part of the race has been achieved. There is still a long road ahead of them. This family has been through so much. Emotionally, mentally, physically and financially.
