Houston Water and Rescue assistance

After spending 4 weekends in Joplin, MO when it was hit by a devestating tornado, I realized that many hands make light work. If you can't get your hands to Houston to help out then the second best thing you can do is send funds. Everyone who is getting this knows that I will do everything I can to help out in the Houston area and the money will be used for water, fuel, batteries and anything else that is needed. I will match the $1000 that is raised. I know that $2000 will go a long way.

I am leaving Tuesday morning from Kansas City and will be in Houston when early Wednesday. This is supposed to be the worst day of the storm.  

This is where the rubber meets the road and we as a community need to be there in the best and worst of times. There is a cycling community in and around Chappell Hill, TX that I will be rallying to get the supplies to the families that need them.

I am so greatful to have the ability to do this and to have the support of the people close to me that are going to have to do extra work here on the homefront while I am gone. Thank you Ellen, Luke and Alain for your support.
