I have set up a GoFundMe account to assist my dear friend, Virginia Abugattas, who lost her home in the devastation from Harvey. Please consider making a donation to assist her with trying to rebuild what was lost.
She is only one of thousands of Houstonians who have been affected by this unbelievable devastation but she has lost everything and will have to start from scratch. She does not have flood insurance so will be relying on the kindness of family and friends to get her through this emotionally and financially.

"I now face the absolutely unimaginable task of trying to get my head around the fact that what I have worked for all my life---in a matter of hours---is gone. My daughter thankfully, was in College Station when this devastation happened and I have not had the heart to explain to her that her home is essentially gone. I am grateful that I paid tuition before this happened; but still face the expense of text books and other education expenses including her rent and food. With embarrassment and shame, I have to admit to all of you—I don’t know how I will manage all of these expenses and costs in addition to repairing or replacing my home and its contents. I never, ever thought I would be in this position after working nearly all my life. And I sincerely thank you for any and all help you could provide.
