Houston Relief - Western Academy

My name is Laura Parra and I live in Houston, Texas. Hurricane Harvey has devastated many lives I know. My family has gotten through it with our home still intact, but many have lost everything and most of them without flood insurance to cover the costs. The photos shown are from our neighbors and friends we know.  I can't express enough how dire this situation has become. 

Many teachers, parents and students from my kid’s school "Western Academy" are getting together to directly assist 15 families to help piece their lives back together. Currently, we've opened our homes to the children of these families so parents can sort out what they need to do. We are doing all we can to get their basic daily needs met by finding shelter, giving food, clothing and household goods of every kind. As soon as the floods recede on some of the roads, school will then reopen and it will be easier to get to places. 

We have not established ourselves as a charity but all the money raised here will go directly to the 15 families. I ask you for any amount. I ask you for a leap of Faith and we appeal to you for any amount.
