Houston Flood Fund For Blazers

Donation protected
Gofundme has advised me to do a little editing. My name is Danielle. I am Jessica Blazers cousin. Her mom, Robyn Smith, and my dad are siblings.  I live in Idaho however, my husband and I will be going to Texas to complete the construction necessary for them to be able to live in the house again. Jessica's husband Leon is John and Christine Blazer's son. They are also helping us to make this campaign a success.

I am sure everyone has seen photos like the one i have posted here. This is my cousin Jessica's house in Houston, Tx. It is located above the reservoir and as of yesterday morning was 4ft under water due to back flooding from water being let out of the dam spillways in an effort to prevent dam failure. Jessica, her husband Leon, and their two small children chose to evacuate during the voluntary period. Thank goodness they are safe. Unfortunately, the lower level of their home is a complete loss. Like many others in Houston they do not have flood insurance. The gut wrenching part for us is knowing they just completed a renovation on this home which they are still paying for.
With record breaking rainfall and so many homes being lost we worry there will be a shortage of materials and contractors  (sad to say honest contractors that wont take advantage of those already suffering). Something in us told us we needed to do something therefore we decided that our skills could be put to good use helping my cousin rebuild. Most kitchens are on the main level which means they will be a total loss. Our goal is to build cabinets and possibly small furniture, if we have enough time, to deliver and install October 28-November 12. The funds collected here will be used to help purchase materials in order to make this happen. We are in communication with suppliers here in Idaho trying to get the materials needed donated so that we may give them as much as possible to spend on small items that were lost. We will be presenting that check when we arrive in Texas at the end of October. This will be a wonderful surprise during such a stressful time.

We will definitely be accepting more than monetary donations. Please contact us at Pristine Finish Construction if you know of someone willing to donate building materials. If we can get together enough donations we will hire a truck to transport what we cannot in our trailer.  The more materials collected the more families we can help/share it with.

If you are wanting to donate other items that families may have lost, contact us as well and we will do what we can to get it to those in need. Our focus is on necessities.
