Houston Family - Harvey Relief

I, Farrah Wilson, was born and raised in Houston and all my family and my closest friends still reside there including my dad and two brothers. Paul and I were married in Houston, Texas in 2004 so that all my family and friends could attend the wedding. We even have a Texas Marriage Certificate. I have a great life and family here in Miami, where I currenlty reside, but anyone who knows me knows that a part of my heart will always be in Houston, Texas.
I felt so helpless when Hurricane Harvey hit my hometown and now many of my relatives/friends are displaced and have lost everything due to the flooding of their homes. Some have no electicity and other relatives can not get to work because many of the roadways are still underwater. Paul and I want to help get resources to people that we know personally to help them recover and rebuild. It's time to add ACTION to all the thoughts and prayers because faith without works is dead.
Anything that our family and friends in Miami-Dade, Broward, and across the US can do to help them will be a blessing. There are great organizations taking donations but we want to give/help our family/friends by giving cash for food, clothing, lodging, gas, replacement of items from their homes, items to remove water, and cash due to loss of income.
We pledge $1000 to start this campaign because the road to recovery is just beginning. We will be sending cash via PayPal, checks, or gift cards directly to individuals we know in Houston that have been impacted by Hurricane Harvey. We thank you in advance for your generosity and support.
