Housing stability for Lapis

Donation protected
UPDATE: Dear Friends Faemily and Family This is lapis l lazuli also known as Wilmot W Simpson II. First of all for all of you that have donated this is a big old thank you for helping. At this time i would like to be accountable to the funds that have been given to me. I have paid for housing for myself and others who have helped me to sustain and live in the bay during the pandemic. During this time was also pride where i hosted a small affair for folks to build community during the SF Pride time in a socially distant and respectful manner. It has always been my intention to never use communities resources in a way that is disrespectful nor abuses the generosity of our community. I had an airbnb for the month, i have receipts to prove such purchases, should community need. I am asking for more sustainability and resources as i look to get this month together and begin my life in San Francisco. I have secured housing in San Francisco and looking to keep this beautiful home that i have received. It is actually a dream come true and a place i could not be more happy and thankful for. I am at the hamilton building a historic building that was made in the 1920’s. I am looking to get help for the coming month as i solidify my jobs with the census and other opportunities that will be presenting themselves. I know that this is a difficult time. I thank you for your generosity and if you can give it would be very very helpful. Thank you! ❤️ Original post: LAUNCHING PAD FOR LAPIS! Our community comrade and cultural leader Lapis Luxxxury is ending his tenure at our beloved mountain home - let’s give him a healthy severance package! Lapis is currently housing displaced in the Bay Area and hoping to secure something permanent by August 1st.  As head of the Department of Multicultural Affairs, Lapis designed brain-melting parties, created essential events like the Kool-Aid Challenge and Casseroll Cook-Off, and continues to invent a lexicon used daily by shamaniacs young and old. If you’ve ever sauntered down Whitney Houston Memorial Blvd feeling grateful for your charmed Amerikkkan life, you have Lapis to thank. Give what you can, share if you can’t, and let’s give Lapis a lift-off! artwork: Bizzy Barefoot photo: Richard Mitchell Photography
