Karen, Paul, and their furry friends have an immediate opportunity to get into housing and need your help! All proceeds will go to move-in costs - first month's rent and deposit.
Karen and Paul are well known to the houseless outreach community, as they have been helping people on the street for years. They've worked with Free Hot Soup, have given people temporary respite in their RV, and always have kind words of encouragement and solace for the unsheltered people they meet.
Over the past several months they have searched in vain for a private parking spot to rent for their RV. Facing frequent tickets and always told to "move along," their ability to remain sheltered in their RV - and for Paul to maintain his employment - has been threatened. Thankfully an opportunity has just arisen for them to move into an apartment - a much better solution than a parking space! All that is needed is the move-in costs.
Please, help these neighbors get off the street and into housing. They have the income for the rent but 24-7 survival has meant they have not been able to save more than a few hundred dollars. That's where we come in. Please, forego one dinner on the town and pay your good fortune forward. And please share this fundraiser.
