House fire takes everything away

Donation protected
Our neighbors Isaiah, Chrystal and 10 year old daughter lost all of their  possessions the day they were intending to move to a new home in Lima the morning of October 6. They returned to their home after picking up the U-Haul truck to find there was a fire in their kitchen. Isaiah ran into the burning house to try and put out the fire and rescue their dogs. Unfortunately, the fire had already spread to the upstairs, the thick smoke hit him and he had to run out of the house.   Their 3 beloveded Yorkies did not make it. He did receive some pretty severe burns, and likely medical expenses. They didn’t have renters insurance and now are moving into their new home with nothing but the clothes they were wearing.  My family watched this all happen feet away from our home. You see this happen in movies and on the news, but never truly can understand the impact of such loss until it’s someone you have known for years. Everything they worked so hard for, for so many years was gone in minutes. They are completely devastated and of course trying to figure out how to rebuild their lives.

They are the kind of people who would give the shirt off their back to help someone in need and I want to do everything I can to help them get their life back on track.

Anything  will help. Thank you for reading. God bless

**UPDATE**
Rome Hilliard self storage on 466 Hilliard Rome road was generous enough to donate a storage unit for people who would like to donate items. They do require that I be there to open up the storage locker. We will be accepting donations there this Tuesday from 6pm-7pm. And Saturday from noon-2. If you can’t make either of those times feel free to message me your number and I can call to schedule a time to meet you there.

**UPDATE**
A few people have been asking about items to donate so i'll put a quick list below. This is not meant to be fully inclusive but a great starting point.

ITEMS:
Bed (queen or king) - Isaiah is tall
Bed (twin) - for their daughter
Couch, Love Seat
Pillow's
Food - Non perishable's
Sheets, comforters, towels, rugs
Dishes, utensils, cups
Lamps
Appliances (should be covered through the generosity of Mrs. Davis-thank you!)

Clothes:
Chrystal - size 7/8 and size med/large
Isaiah - size 44 and size XXXL
Damia - 10/12

I'm sure i'm missing a bunch of things in that list but it's a great start.

More great news I believe "2 Men in a truck" might be willing to take the items from the storage unit (and the appliances from Mrs. Davis' place) up to Lima. This was a critical piece that had to get figured out and their generosity if they can get it approved through their corporate will be immensely helpful and appreciated!
