House Fire. Let's help our Director of Operations!

On February 17th, 2020 a burning house boat was reported by MCSO. Unfortunately, that particular house boat belonged to the Florida Keys Mosquito Control Districts very own Director of Operations, Mikki Coss. Mikki, her friend, and her dog were on the vessel at the time of the fire. Fortunately, they were rescued by a fellow boater in the area. As a result of the unforeseen and tragic fire, Mikki lost everything! Although she has not gone out publicly to announce that it was her boat or the fact that she has lost everything in her possession, I believe that we should do our part in helping her; not only because she is our boss, but because she is a good person in need. No one should feel obligated to donate, but it goes without saying that anything (no matter how small) will go a long way. Whether you would like to personally help her or donate here, anything is highly appreciated! All the money collected will be given to Mikki as a surpise from the District. That being said, she is not aware that this GoFundMe has been made in her honor. But I have no doubt that she will eternally grateful for whatever amount we can raise for her (and maybe a tad upset that we did this without her knowledge). Mikki has done a lot for this district and is a great person both inside and outside of the workplace. She is very fortunate to have a great staff that cares for not only her, but for each other!
