Hot Meals for Refugees - TheWorkshopBudapest

Spende geschützt

WHAT:
This is a grassroots volunteer effort to raise funds to provide free meals, snacks, and beverages for Ukraine war refugees at The Workshop at Paulay Ede utca 16, Budapest 1061, Hungary. (https://www.facebook.com/theworkshop.budapest).  We collaborate with Peter Grundberg, the partner at BrodyHouse and BrodyStudio Budapest, to provide space, food, wifi, resources for refugees.

WHERE: The meals are prepared and served at The Workshop, a space that has been donated by BrodyHouse Group (Brodyland) to provide a safe, welcoming place for refugees to gather. Currently, about 120 meals a day are being provided to individuals and families (mostly mothers and children).

WHO: The meals are prepared daily by Canadian-Ukrainian volunteer celebrity chef, Anatoli, with a group of Ukrainian women who fled the conflict and are in transition. Cooking provides these women with purpose, structure, and a way to help their own community during this chaotic time in their life.

WHY: We need crowdfunding support to provide consistent, healthy, nutritious hot lunch foods for Ukraine refugees on a daily basis, especially to the children who come. For many mothers with their small children, this is the only hot meal they have daily. This is entirely volunteer-run at the moment, with many international expats and Hungarians coming together to volunteer their time and networks to make this happen.

CITY: Budapest, Hungary

Please help - either with a donation or by spreading the word. Any little bit helps and we will provide transparency into the ingredient expenses.
